In 10 DAYS IN A MADHOUSE, actress Caroline Barry plays famous trailblazing journalist Nellie Bly on her first big assignment working for Joseph Pulitzer, to get herself committed into the notorious Blackwell's Island Insane Asylum in order to report on abuses and murders from within.

Hollywood insiders are saying Ms. Barry's portrayal of Nellie Bly is uncanny and powerful. The fact that Caroline Barry and Nellie Bly closely resemble each other is a happy coincidence, according to 10 Days In A Madhouse director, Timothy Hines, "We found Caroline Barry out of a star search that started off with over 8,000 contestants from across the globe. Everywhere from talent agencies to publications like Backstage Magazine. From Moscow to Tennessee. Caroline won the role by being the best."

Christopher Lambert was taken with Ms. Barry's performance. Kelly Le Brock, who plays nurse Grant in 10 Days In A Madhouse, said of Caroline Barry, "She's unique, endearing and is a gifted actress."

Producer Susan Goforth said of Ms. Barry, "Caroline's next movie is already in the works, a period film set in the great depression called Gods Country. The production is looking at stars like Ryan Gosling for the male lead."

Veteran Hollywood editor Stephen Eckelberry took the job to co-edit 10 Days In A Madhouse with Academy Award nominee, Avril Beukes, based on the strength of Caroline Barry's performance. "10 Days In A Madhouse is an important movie about one of the world's most important women and it has a strong message about empowerment. But I ultimately took the role as editor because of Caroline Barry. She's amazing and subtle. We've captured lightning in a bottle with this movie, in no small part due to Caroline."

For the role of Nellie Bly, Caroline Barry had to endure 5 degree temperatures in a real closed 100 year old mental institution in Salem, Oregon. Actual ice cold baths and the presence of a large owl that occupied the upper floors. "The story takes place in the freezing cold in a ancient run down asylum. These parts we didn't have to act," says Ms. Barry.

"She's a rare talent", says Strath Hamilton, executive producer of 10 Days In A Madhouse. Executive producer Marcy Levitas Hamilton says, "Caroline Barry radiates an openness that makes you want to be her friend. She lets you inside her world." Co-producer, Saskia Larsen concurs, "Caroline is an amazing actress and a genuinely down to Earth human being. She is kind to everyone she meets."
